Music Teacher cycles 894km through the Alps

During the summer holidays, instead of enjoying a relaxing break, Jake Collins, a music teacher from The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College, completed a gruelling endurance cycle route through the Alps.

MONDAY

Students began arriving at school from 4.40am eagerly anticipating the arrival of our coach. Once all the bags were stowed in the luggage compartments we began our journey to Heathrow Airport. The motorway was very busy but we arrived in plenty of time to check our bags in and have breakfast.

Over 800 students enjoy a day of track and field

On Wednesday 19th July students and staff from The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College took part in the school’s annual sport day.

Over 100 students awarded for hard work

On Thursday 6th July, The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College invited high achieving students, along with their parents, to the school’s annual Awards Evening. The school were also pleased to welcome Greig Trout a double cancer survivor and the founder of website ‘101 Things To Do When You Survive’.
